Tony Barill, Respected Public Servant and Community Mentor, Passes Away in Monongalia County

Monongalia County, WV — The community is mourning the loss of Tony Barill, a distinguished public servant and former Mon County magistrate, sheriff, and member of the West Virginia House of Delegates, who passed away on the morning of September 27, 2024.

His influence reached many, including Todd Forbes, who shared on Facebook, “Tony mentored me as a kid through the Junior Champs basketball tournament that he helped put together… I am so glad I took the time to go visit with him several months ago.”
