Victorville, California – Vernon L. Clinkscale, a 51-year-old resident of Victorville, was tragically found dead inside an SUV on St. Andrews Drive on September 28, 2024.
The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office confirmed his identity shortly after emergency personnel responded to the scene.
At approximately 6:00 PM, deputies arrived in the 14300 block of St. Andrews Drive following a call for medical aid.
A bystander had discovered Mr. Clinkscale unconscious in his vehicle and immediately began CPR before the arrival of emergency medical staff.
Despite extensive efforts to resuscitate him, Mr. Clinkscale was pronounced dead at the scene, according to sheriff’s spokesperson Gloria Huerta.
The cause of death remains under investigation by the coroner’s office at this time.
